Welcome

Hello and welcome to my AS Media Blog!

We hope you enjoy the Media Studies course and do well at it. This blog is part of our strategy to help you get the most out of the course.

How?

Well, important information for your group will be recorded here - I hope to put a weekly summary of what we have covered in class and each week's homework tasks in a new post. This way you can check you are up to date. If you are absent, you can check what you need to catch up on. No one has an excuse that they don't know what the homework is!

I will also add additional notes and material relevant to what we are doing and add important notices/ dates etc. as the year progresses.

There are also links to the right of the blog to the other central blogs for AS Media. These have copies of a lot of our Power Points and handouts - most will also be in your booklets, but here are live versions!

So, it is part of your responsibility to check this blog several times a week - it is your job to be up to date, not ours!

A few other starting notices. You need to be PFL - Prepared For Learning every lesson you have with us. This means:

  • Have bought your packs for the year and have brought the relevant ones to class
  • Have paper and a pen
  • Have a positive attitude to learning and a willingness to participate in class
  • Have your homework diary to hand to record all homework/ follow-up tasks
Do all this and you will get the most out of this course!
